Enjoying life

The elements in my life to keep it happy and balanced.

Throughout my life I have discovered that having a balanced lifestyle and a positive mindset has helped me to enjoy life the most.  Of course my life is not perfect and I have had ups and downs, like all of us, but I try to keep my life focused on looking on the bright side, giving my body and mind the resources they need to perform at its very best and developing good habits. These three elements have allowed me to strive for a happy and balanced life. Next I am going to explain what they mean to me.

Looking on the bright side of life

Everyone has had bad days, lousy experiences, challenges, difficulties, etc. What changes how these affect your life is the way you look at them. When you see people that seem successful on their personal lives that does not mean that their lives are perfect; it is mostly about how they utilize what life throws at them and use it in their favor. If you train your mind to see the good in most situations you will then have developed a very valuable skill which will allow you to see opportunities where others see problems and/or inconveniences.

Resources for my body and mind to perform at is best

I love to do many activities, to feel energized and to feel happy. Just like you fuel up a car for it to run, you also need to fuel up yourself with quality stuff to have a happy mind and body. Some of the most important elements so I can perform at my best are having a healthy diet, controlling my mind (especially with meditation), doing regular exercise activity, surrounding myself by people with the mindset I desire, reading information to improve myself and having experiences that allow me not only to grow internally but that also make me feel alive (such as traveling, developing a new skill, trying a new activity and taking challenges). I experienced that providing my body and mind with these elements have not only allowed me to perform at my best but also to feel amazing.

Developing good habits

Some of the habits I find more beneficial in myself are waking up early, doing exercise activity minimum three times a week, eating balanced meals three times a day, reading at least 15 minutes in the day, having contact with nature at least once a week, being kind and grateful everyday. Having good habit will definitely improve your well-being and it will also allow you to free up space in your day. Once we develop a habit we start doing it in automatic which will make us perform it quicker and it will also allow frees up space in our brains to focus on other activities which can be things you love, things to perform at your job better and /or things for your internal growth.
